The design of your next home is very important and unless you are an architect yourself you may not have a clue about how to design a house. When you visit Anderson we have the decades of experience to ask the right questions that will get you to your dream home. How many children do you have, do you like to entertain, do you like a large garden, do you want your children's sleeping quarters nearby, do you like a porch, how many cars do you have. We will ask you what is most important to you. All of these questions and more will help us to understand the type of home that is right for you. Once we understand what you want, what your budget is and what kind of parcel you have for your home, we can begin to show you designs that we know you will like.
Stamped Permit Sets
Once you have selected your home design you will want to work with your local building department to retain a building permit. This process is made easier by Anderson because our plans conform to required building codes. Our plans are designed to comply with the International Residential Code. We also have details and notes that have been developed to accommodate many local jurisdictions.
Stock Plan Modifications
If you require changes to one of our stock plans we can design your changes and add them to the plan. Appointments are helpful, but not required to discuss your modifications. In fact, we can work with clients anywhere in the country via the internet, pdf files and email. Call us anytime and we will review your changes with you, make suggestions if we see a better way to accommodate your requirements and we will then quote you a price to modify our plans. Our turn around time for plan modifications is very quick because all of our current designs are drafted using modern CAD software.
New Plan Design
Some clients prefer that we design their new home specifically for them. In the unlikely event that one of our stock plans does not meet your needs, we would be happy to design a custom home for you. The first step is to understand your requirements. Send us your ideas, pictures or drawings of the home you would like to build. Once we understand the type of home you prefer we will prepare a quote.
Home Additions
As the family grows, the garage gets full and you run out of closet space it may be time to think about an addition to your home. Send us photos of your existing home and your plat of survey to us and we will be happy to discuss your addition plans.
Permit Assistance
Should the local building authorities have a question about one of our plans we will be happy to speak with them and answer their questions. We have never been denied a permit on a buildable parcel of land and can assure you that our home plans can be prepared to meet any local building authority requirements.
Review Sets
Once you select a plan or several plans that you like, you may need more time to make your final decision. A review set that includes the elevation and the floor plans may be just what you need. These sets are marked for review only and cannot be used for construction. But they are very helpful to spread out on the kitchen table and let the whole family decide on the plan that is right for you.
